Intimate partner violence against women continues to rise, partly due to the influence of romantic love, which perpetuates relationships based on a sexist and heteronormative system. Given the limited knowledge about how feminist movements address this issue, the next question arises in the context of Bogotá: How do a group of feminist women identify and stop psychological violence in their romantic relationships? Using the life history methodology, the experiences of seven women were explored to understand their discourses, practices, and counter-hegemonic strategies regarding love. Through their experiences and their engagement with the feminist movement, they have transformed what they learned in childhood, adopting practices such as self-criticism, strengthening their support networks, and maintaining open communication with their partners. These actions have allowed them to build relationships that challenge traditional norms about love.Downloads
